Book of the month

Paulo Coelho one of the most influential & renowned contemporary authors -
Sharing his wisdom, passion & spirituality throughout his novels... Not to mention they are easy- accessible and timeless....
As a true dreamer I immensely enjoy escaping my daily routine with a great novel- Aleph brought an unusual adventure where readers get to discover a glimpse of Paulo's journey... A sort of autobiography where the author is questioning & sharing his spiritual growth...

Aleph is a spiritual journey, which Paulo decides to embark on to find inner peace even though he is maybe considered the most spiritual person on this planet… However I believe that Spiritual Growth should be a continuous lifetime process in order to evolve and find inner peace.
I am a huge fan of the author and was fascinated and intrigued to read this particular novel where I got to know a little more about the person behind all my favorite books.

The novel starts in France and ends up in Eastern Europe & Asia where he spends weeks on the trans-Siberian railway with his publishers and a young gifted violinist. Her unlimited love for the author will help him get closer to his spiritual growth.

They both knew each other from a past life where Paulo had to resolve in order to move on in this present life. Here the author shares his believes in reincarnation and spiritual growth. A mystical and fascinating novel I highly recommend.

Early Spring

On Rodeo Drive window shopping...  Spying on last minute items for sale.... LA was a little chilly lately just 12 degres... I know that it is amazing for January!!! But guess what... As I am  blogging right now at this precise time its over 25 degres at night.... Lovely right? So back to ballerina and tanks... Yoooooupi!
However a week ago you couldn't leave your house without piling up with several layers of clothing... Especially as the weather changes drastically in a day from 20°c in the afternoon to 8°c at night!!!!! LA is all about Layering... A Tank with a cardigan with a leather jacket & with a scarf... you will use them all and will take them all off in the same day!
Here as usual almost Zara head to toe....  If you need help to shop in Zara I would love to help... I love to hunt down nice pieces that could totally work!

Sushi Samba on Lincoln

Sushi Samba is one of my favorite spots for lunch in South Beach... Casual yummy fusion food where you will find an exquisite blend of Japanese, Brazilian & Peruvian cuisine! I am huge fan of sushi and admire how they added some Latin flavors into their classical rolls bringing a spicy twist to all their dishes... Love their Rock Shrimp Tempura (see above) Nicely crispy & spicy! Oh Gosh! I always get so excited about Food... Which reminds me of my trip to Brazil which I did last January where we oddly ended up going to quiet a few sushi restaurants and that's because we discovered that Brazil has the largest population of Japanese outside of Japan... So all this fusion just makes more sense now.... And I love it!

This is a man's world

My favorite Stuff from Dima's closet....

1) Sandro "Desert boots" so Old School Boy
2) Y3 Burgundy Fake snake- This is my favorite color and they are just too Gangster!
3) Church's gentlemen shoes.... They are great classics you  never can go wrong!
4) Beauty product: Love how men are more conscience on taking care of themselves...
My favorite is Kiehl's for men... perfect to keep the skin clean and smooth... And the scent Terre d'Hermès deliciously manly & sensual.
5) Givenchy t-shirts... the only ones I accept with some kind of drawings or picture on... If not just keep it simple!
6) Paul Smith- Funky little details on classical pieces... Such as the purple lace...
7) Dima is wearing a two piece which I love from The Koople's with a checkered purple Lanvin Shirt...
This season men's wear has involved offering a larger selection... it's fun to see your boyfriend changing styles for different occasions...And also playing with different brands mixing and being creative and not just going to Dolce Gabanna and buying the whole store because its easy and its a brand... Just saying guys!
8) Sandro Beige blazer
9) Y3 shoes

White Jeans

I absolutely love her jeans... Saw them in black and hesitated between that or the Indian dress which I got instead... I actually prefer them in white... You can pull these jeans off all year round even in winter....
Sharing is Caring Mimi! I got to borrow them from you one of these days...
They are so hot to go out just dress them with some Pigalle black shoes, a transparent black shirt and a tight blazer.... A Very Parisian look right there!

The Arty Ring

Dany

Mimi

If I could I would collect this ring in all colors.... Craving for the bronze for this spring!
Yes I am that kind of girl that when I am obesesed with one piece I buy it in all colors and if I don't I usually regret it after!
It happens all the time I am thinking ok I am going to be a good girl and just buy one but when I  wear my dress for exemple once twice three times in less then 2 weeks I am starting to thing ok its time to get it in another color....So I desperately run to the store and obviously my dream dress is out of stock!!!! Aoutch painful... right?
So I usually try to follow my first instincts which can be very hard in a store full of clothes trying to asses what I really want and which is actually practical.... And That can be a real dilema!

Freedom of Motion

As I have mentioned before there was a lot of eating over the Xmas holidays luckily we are a very dynamic & active Family....  I really do love to exaggerate :-)... Anyhow we did try to move our bodies after those over the top heavy meals... Honestly I cannot go to bed  feeling like a stuffed piglet... I need to digest my food either with a strong digestive or some kind of exercise...This time we opted for plan 2 some Active family time on the beach playing Paddle ball...
Love how my mother is just like a little girl all cheerful on the beach!
Stay young in your head and you will look young...

Silent Film

The Artist

A French Romance directed by Michel Hazanavicius. It is a black and white silent film featuring Jean Dujardin one of my favorite french actor....
I haven't had the chance to watch the movie yet... Actually I was a little skeptical at first when my friend Lorene recommended this Silent film_  I am like Great another boring film... However Paris has been  worshiping the film for months now and got me intrigued to have a sneak peak at the trailer. I was instantly seduced by the 20's Hollywood inspiration - A  nice change from all the Mission Impossible movies where there is more action then acting!
Now I cannot wait to watch this piece of Art and I was proud to find out that The Artist received 6 Golden Globe Awards.
